Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for the role of Health & Safety Advisor within our Seda CMS division to support the safe and compliant operation of our GMP manufacturing site. This is a key role within our Facilities function, responsible for developing, implementing and continually improving our Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) systems.
The role is located at our state-of-the-art GMP clinical manufacturing facility in Cheadle, South Manchester.
This is a hands-on, operational role focused on ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation and internal SHE procedures. The role requires a competent health and safety professional capable of creating and maintaining SHE systems such as risk assessments, COSHH assessments, permit-to-work systems, safe systems of work and LOTO arrangements.
This is an excellent opportunity to help shape and develop the safety systems of a growing GMP manufacturing facility.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of SHE activities in a busy operational environment.
The role would suit a practical safety professional who enjoys working closely with engineers, operators and contractors to improve safety systems in a live manufacturing environment.
You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and have proven experience working in a health and safety advisory or similar role.
You will have the ability to create and implement risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and LOTO procedures, along with a strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a practical hands-on approach, and the ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively.
